Unlike other printing methods, traditional engraving creates beautifully raised ink that you can actually feel as you graze your hand across the paper. Choose from our carefully curated engraving ink colors, including stunning metallic inks that are particularly beautiful when engraved—the shimmer, dimension, and crisp detail achieved through engraving simply cannot be replicated with traditional flat printing or letterpress.

Personalize your engraved holiday card with your family name, year, or other personalization as shown on the selected design. If your card features original hand-lettered calligraphy, the greeting is part of the original artwork and cannot be changed. Some Stovall Collection designs feature editable typography instead; whenever a greeting may be customized, it will be clearly noted on the individual product page.

Due to the distinctive size of our engraved cards, each personalized engraved holiday card order includes a classic white envelope, beautifully suited to the timeless look of the collection. As an added benefit, white envelopes offer excellent contrast for postal addressing and are especially well suited for traveling through the mail during the busy holiday season.

Every Stovall Collection engraved holiday card is professionally printed to order by our trusted printing partners in the American South and individually reviewed by our Memphis studio before production begins.

Rather than sending orders directly to press, our team carefully reviews every order by hand, taking time to physically lay out your card, confirm personalization, and ensure the artwork, spacing, and overall design look exactly as intended before it is released for engraving.

Engraved Holiday Cards typically require 14–16 business days for production (assuming proofs are approved immediately)

If you choose to add an optional hand-painted border, please allow an additional 7–10 business days for this finishing process. Each border is applied by hand after printing, adding another layer of craftsmanship—and additional production time—to your finished cards.

Once your engraved cards and photographs are ready, each photograph is carefully mounted by hand onto your card in our Memphis, Tennessee studio. Our team individually assembles and reviews every card, ensuring your photograph is beautifully positioned and your finished holiday cards arrive polished, complete, and ready to address and mail.

This complimentary service is exclusive to our Engraved Photo Holiday Card Collection and is one of the details that makes these cards so special. Before your card is released for engraving, expect a personal email from Jody or one of her dedicated project managers with a digital proof of your finished design. These cards are incredibly special, and we want to triple-check the details right alongside you—from the spelling of every name to your personalization, spacing, layout, and engraving selections.

Please review your proof carefully and reply with your approval. Once approved, your card will be released to our engraver and production will begin.

Because your first digital proof is complimentary, any additional proof rounds requested after the initial proof are $30 each.
