Spring Cleaning & What I’m Eyeing
Our house was built almost 100 years ago, and I love everything about it—especially the size. It’s not a big house, but that’s part of its charm. The one ongoing challenge, though, is closet space.
Last year, I started storing seasonal clothes in mothproof bags under our beds, and it has made such a difference. Not only does it free up space, but it also forces me to revisit everything twice a year. It’s become a natural rhythm to refresh, reorganize, and pass along pieces we’re no longer using. There’s something really satisfying about starting a new season with a little more breathing room.
Over time, I’ve built a small collection of uniform staples that I reach for again and again:
- Frame Bubble Jeans
- Leset Kyoto Pants
- Pointelle Tees
- Adidas Samba Sneakers
- With Nothing Underneath button-downs
Having those on heavy rotation makes getting dressed feel simple and consistent. So instead of overhauling my wardrobe, I’m just looking to add a few thoughtful, pretty layers this season:
- A soft cashmere scarf from Saved NY
- Milky burgundy Loewe sunglasses
- A cord necklace with a resin shell
- Pale blue sandals for warmer days
- A new perfume we should have in-store soon
Notes I’m Writing This Week
- I recently got to watch my 7-year-old nephew play in a baseball tournament, and I was so impressed. He’s a great athlete, but what stood out even more was his attitude—positive, encouraging, and already showing real leadership.
- My sister-in-law hosted our family for an afternoon of swimming last weekend. She put so much thought into it—homemade dips, pre-batched cocktails, all the details. The Geary tornado blew in and out as we tend to do, and I want to make sure she knows how much I appreciated the effort she put into hosting us.
