Sunday Letter ~ June 21, 2026

Of course, I am used to the eye rolls.

"Christmas cards already, Jody?! I am still recovering from the chaos of last year!"

LOL.

What I have come to find, though, is that choosing a holiday card really doesn't need to take a ton of energy. That's the beautiful thing about holiday cards—you get to do it every year! There is no pressure to find the perfect card that you'll never top again. Think of it more like building a collection of memories over time.

Our Christmas in July sale is a wonderful opportunity to save 30% on our Signature Photo Mount Holiday Cards and Letterpress Holiday Cards. These are our most popular collections because they truly work with almost any photograph. In fact, many of our clients purchase their cards in July and don't worry about the photo until later.

And remember: a beautiful black and white photo looks great on virtually every card color, so you always have a backup plan.

A few practical notes before you order:

If you plan to use recipient addressing, you'll want to have your address list ready to go. We are unable to hold orders, so cards will move directly into production. Over the next few weeks, it might be worth spending a little time cleaning up your list and making any needed updates. If you need our address template, you can find it here.

We will also continue offering our Photo Assembly Service (sometimes mounted by yours truly!), so if you'd like to gift yourself that luxury, be sure to have your photo ready to upload when you place your order. As with recipient addressing, we won't be holding orders while waiting on photos.

One thing I always encourage clients to think about is choosing one little detail that you repeat year after year. Maybe it's always using the same card size, a favorite font or spot calligraphy, always printing your photo in black and white, or even taking your family photo in the same spot every year (I love the idea of a front porch photo, no matter how imperfect or chaotic!).

Those small details become part of your family's story. Over time, your collection of holiday cards starts to feel cohesive and connected, even though each year is different. I think there is something really special about looking back and seeing those traditions repeated year after year.

As always, I am happy to help you think through any of these decisions. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need a second opinion, help choosing a design, or simply someone to talk through ideas with.

Happy Christmas in July!

xx,
Jody
