Still enjoying October over here! I'm so happy sitting in my comfy new birthday sweatsuit and cozy socks, drinking a latte from Bottle Tree. Sorry Will, I have to work. Can you take my wild children outside and run them around for a little while?!
Here are a few highlights from my week!
Studio:
I've spent the last several weeks helping my custom clients create some really gorgeous designs around even more gorgeous photos! It has been such a treat getting to play with beautiful papers and inks and getting to know so many new people.
This week, we were able to get almost all of our projects requiring hand borders into production, which means we should have those cards in our hands the week before Thanksgiving so we have a few days to assembly photos! Next up are the custom projects without hand borders, which add about two weeks to production.
Here are a few of the designs that didn't make the final cut! Reach out if you have your photos ready and want to work with me!
Stovall Holiday Shop:
Speaking of hand borders, now is the time to order if you're thinking about gifting a set of lovely engraved stationery this Christmas! These are such special, heirloom gifts, and we keep your engraving plate on file for easy reorders down the road.
I especially love Finley and Frances for men, and Alice, Jones, and Evie for women. All of these can be customized, so please let me know if you'd like to change anything around!
The only real rush is for designs with hand painted borders, as each one is painted individually and adds a few weeks to production (if you need for Christmas gifting!)
Personal:
On a more personal note, earlier this year I learned that I have Lynch syndrome, an inherited genetic condition that increases my risk of certain cancers. Thankfully, I don't have cancer, but it does mean extra screenings and some decisions about preventative care down the road. I spent a good bit of Wednesday at the oncologist having preventative tests done. Being in a place like that can feel pretty heavy, and as you can imagine, all of this has had me reflecting on just how grateful I am for my health and the very full life I have. I only share because it's been a big part of my year and a good reminder of how important it is to know your family history and stay on top of your health.
Shopping (lighter note!):
A few things currently in my cart! If you guys haven't bought the Miro jeans, you are missing out. I just discovered they come in long, which sent me down a rabbit hole on the Citizens website, and now I want this and this, too!
I have a trip to Paris coming up this winter and have been eyeing the vintage furs that Natalie Bloomingdale posts each week on The SIL. I know absolutely nothing about fur, but I love the idea of finding something vintage and beautiful that I could eventually pass down to the girls. An heirloom, right?!?!
Have a great week everyone! xx
